Submission

There are three modes of submission to Max Ent 2018: (1) Paper submission, (2) Paper abstract submission (new!) - with the full paper being submitted shortly after Max Ent 2018, (3) Poster submission. Further instructions are provided below. Please refer to the deadlines page for more detail.

Paper Submission

Max Ent 2018 invites contributions on all aspects of probabilistic inference, including novel techniques and applications, and work that sheds new light on the foundations of inference. We welcome submissions by authors who are new to MaxEnt and on new and emerging topics. Submission of papers and presentations during the event must be in English.

Submission Track

All accepted papers will be presented at the meeting either as contributed talks or as posters. The registration in the event of at least one author and the presentation of the work are preconditions for their publication in the proceedings. This will be strictly enforced.

Submission Policy

Papers that are currently under review or have already been accepted or published in a refereed venue, including conferences and journals, may not be submitted. Submitted papers will be reviewed based on their novelty, technical quality, potential impact, and clarity of writing. Authors are encouraged to make data and code publicly available when possible.

Published Proceedings

The proceedings will be published online in open access format in the MDPI journal Proceedings. Selected authors will be invited to submit an extended version of their paper for a Special Edition of the journal Entropy.

Formatting Instructions

Authors should prepare their submission in the LaTeX template provided:

https://max-ent.github.io/submission/template.zip

The manuscript length should be no more that 8 pages in this format, excluding references, acknowledgements and appendices. It is not possible to submit supplementary material. If experiencing issues with the LaTeX template, please ensure that your TeX distribution (e.g. MikTeX) has been recently updated. In addition, authors should ensure that they comply with the format guidelines for MDPI Proceedings, which can be found here:
